Air Europa enhances customer communication with market-leading technology

Press release on 29 March 2023:  Air Europa partners with 15below to revolutionise passenger notifications and journey control.

Air Europa, Spain's third-largest airline after Iberia and Vueling, is partnering with 15below - a pioneer in passenger communications and travel automation solutions – leveraging its technology to enhance the airline’s passenger notification experience and streamline its operations.

The airline division of Globalia and a member of SkyTeam alliance, Air Europa will use 15below’s market-leading technology to automate and personalise its communications with the tech-company's three most popular solutions: Disruption Communications, Queue Manager, and Flight Status Notifications.

As well as its passengers, Air Europa's operational teams will immediately see a significant benefit from this collaboration: The advanced automation capabilities offered by 15below will allow them to handle irregular operations (IROPS), such as flight delays, cancellations, and re-accommodations with speed, accuracy and efficiency.

From booking confirmations to real-time flight updates, the carrier’s passengers will receive timely notifications via email and SMS, providing them with vital information at every stage of their journey. 15below’s integration with the PNR and other systems means Air Europa can hyper-personalise their communication, meaning passengers will receive relevant information at the right time to empower them and make the journey as smooth as possible. And staff will have the advantage of using 15below’s easy-to-use interface, which consolidates all aspects of the passenger journey into a single view.

A strategic partnership between 15below and Air Europa’s reservation system, Amadeus, means the airline will gain from years of joint innovation and product enhancements. By taking advantage of 15below's 20 years of expertise in passenger experience best-practice, Air Europa can swiftly integrate the new solutions into its existing infrastructure, ensuring a seamless transition for both passengers and staff.

Air Europa says:

“The collaboration with 15below will allow us to continue to improve the customer experience throughout the entire lifecycle.

The implementation of these solutions will help us to optimise the communication even further with passengers to keep them informed, at any time, about the status of their flights, and will help us to increase the degree of control over the different operational scenarios of the airline” Bernardo Botella, Global Sales Director at Air Europa.

15below says:

“We are thrilled to welcome Air Europa to the 15below community as it joins 53 other global travel brands committed to offering the ultimate passenger experience.

Our market-leading technology will help Air Europa proactively manage disruption and keep its passengers informed and empowered at every step of their journey. We can’t wait to get started and look forward to a long and successful partnership together.” Nicholas Key, CEO, 15below
